• 2 Cylinders are used to move the
Actuator Block into the ‘prime
position’, ready to print
• These are single-acting cylinders, with
internal return springs
• The third cylinder is used to move the
Printhead mounting block and
Printhead to the printing position
• This is a single-acting cylinder, with a
light internal return spring
After calibration, the cylinders move the Printhead into the prime position.
In this position, the gap between the Print Roller/Platen should be no more than 2mm.
• During printing, the second
cylinder moves the Printhead to
the print position as shown
