Setting The Printhead Resistance.
The voltage supplied to the Printhead varies depending on the resistance value of the
printhead.
• The resistance of
genuine Markem-Imaje SmartDate X40 Printheads is automatically detected and
recorded by the Controller
• The user has no access to the Printhead resistance setting
• The resistance value read from the Printhead may be viewed in the diagnostics
menu
• SmartDate 5v1 Printheads can be used in the SmartDate X40 but the resistance
must be manually entered
The Printhead resistance option can be accessed from the Service menu. Security must be
set to Enabled for the Service options to be displayed.
• Select Service from the main Menu
• Followed by Service Login
