Leakage test
Must not be performed when a patient is connected to
the workstation!
– When the soda lime has been changed
or
– when the breathing hoses have been changed.
1 Close the Y-piece = place firmly on the cone.
2 Ensure that the sample line is connected to the
Y-piece and to the water trap at the back of the
workstation.
● Press the softkey »leakage«.
Julian performs the leakage test for IPPV/PCV, duration
approx. 30 seconds.
The breathing bag and its hose are not included in the
test.
Display:
After the test has been successfully completed, the clock
symbol disappears and Julian displays the values for
leakage and system compliance for a few seconds.
The results of the leakage test are continually displayed
on the data screen.
To return to the standby screen:
● Press the rotary knob.
