6.7.5 Procedure in the event of an instable compressed air supply
If your compressed air supply does not fulfil the requirements
reliably (tolerance of ± 1 bar in operation), although a com
pressed air reservoir has already been installed (see system
manual for the SPC200), the maximum values for acceleration
and slowing down, which were calculated during identifica
tion, may not be reached under
certain circumstances.
This could result in overswing if the operating pressure re
quired for slowing down is not available.
In order to prevent such overstressing, the dynamics of the
system must be reduced. To do this proceed as follows:
1. Ascertain the lowest static supply pressure available for
positioning in your compressed air network.
2. Lower
the supply pressure statically to this amount.
3. Now carry out the dynamic identification again.
4. When identification is completed, raise the supply pres
sure again to the value set in the application parameters.
