9 SOFTWARE UPDATE
You can carry out a software update for every Inkasso3 using Service Tool version 2.0.0 and
above. To do so proceed as described below.
1. Remove any connected Service Tool cables.
2. Disconnect the 10-pin connector at X10 on the Inkasso3 printed board.
3. Connect the two jumpers under the X10 connector on the side (Flash/PC).
4. Connect the programming cable 1Y 320 051 to the X10 connector of the Inkasso3 printed
board.
5. Connect the Service Tool cable.
6. Set the switch on the Service Tool cable to the left (Flash side).
7. Open the *.ssw file in the Service Tool. The tool switches automatically to Inkasso3
mode.
8. The software update starts.
9. The Flash procedure begins and takes about 3 min.
10. When the Flash procedure is completed, a message appears >> press OK.
11. Disconnect the 9-pin D-Sub connector.
12. Remove programming cable 1Y 320 051 from the X10 connector.
13. Reconnect the two jumpers under the X10 connector on the side (CCI).
14. Connect the 10-pin connector to the X10 connector of the Inkasso3 printed board.
15. Connect the 9-pin D-Sub connector.
16. Start up Inkasso3.
17. The Inkasso3 may report an EEPROM error.
If this is the case, the 9-pin D-Sub connector must be disconnected again for 5 [sec.].
If this is not the case, continue to point 18.
18. The Inkasso3 sounds a beep, shows the current software version in the display and starts
up.
