3.1.7. De-scaling the electronic unit (clip) manually
The coffee machine can be de-scaled directly using the machine de-scaling
programme, as described in the Operating instructions under <<Machine
care/cleaning/de-scaling>>. Before you can start the de-scaling programme, you
need to disconnect the electrical connection on the rear panel and remove the
electronic unit.
Turning off the water supply
Turn off water supply at water valve(b)
Removing the electronic unit
Unplug connecting cable (2) on rear panel
Remove cover from water tank
Take out electronic unit (1) from water tank
Remove and clean water tank if necessary
De-scaling the electronic unit
To de-scale, pour a bottle of ready-made
special de-scaling agent
(Art. No. 1P 315 430) into
a container > 700 ml, e.g. a litre measure.
Dip electronic unit into container several
times (to achieve rinsing effect); leave for
approx. 60 mins to take effect
Next rinse container thoroughly with clean
water to remove all de-scaling residue
Dip electronic unit into container several
times to rinse, then fit back into water tank
Turn water valve(b) back on
Make sure the electronic unit automatically
switches off the water supply!
