4.4.5. Replacing a grinder
Removing the grinder
The grinding mechanism of the grinding
unit cannot be replaced as the grinding
ring and grinding cone are adapted to each
other. The entire grinding unit must
therefore be replaced.
Replace the grinding unit if the grinding
mechanism has become blunt.
- To replace the grinding unit for
maintenance, see Chapter 8.3.

Open the coffee machine as described in
Chap. 4.3.
Remove coffee-bean container as
described in Chap. 4.3.4.
Release grinding mechanism adjusting disc
(4) from its catch and take out
Loosen retaining ring (5) for top grinding
ring by turning to the left as far as the stop
Take out upper grinding ring (6)
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove coffee-
bean residue and coffee powder
Loosen grinding unit by unscrewing the
3 screws
Take out grinding unit
Caution! Make a note of the polarity before
disconnecting the cable connectors!
Detach cable connectors
