J.3.1.2 Write (SET or FORCE) Single Coil (05h)
This function is used to set a binary value. Only one binary can be set at a time. The
address to set and the value must be specified. The value will be FF00h to set a binary,
and 0000h to clear it. The return will confirm the address and the value set. Table J - 8
below shows the format of the master and slave packets.
Note: This Section shows how to build and understand a 05h Modbus
request/response exchange. To read or write Hydran 201Ti digital data values, please
refer to the subsequent Sections.
Table J-9 below presents, as an example, the writing (SET) of coil 173 value to “ON”.
