4 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
The Senographe system must be powered off and LOTO applied. Switch off the electrical
power supply from the Mains Distribution Panel in the room. Apply an appropriate LOTO
padlock and label. If changing a fuse within the Generator, wait 10 minutes for the compo-
nents within the Generator to discharge.
5 PREREQUISITES
You will have probably already removed the Generator or Gantry covers during trouble-shooting tasks to
determine you need to change a fuse. However, if necessary, do the following:
• If you are changing fuses on the Compression Board, remove the Compression Arm covers to
access the Compression Board. Refer to section 8 in Job Card PHY A044 - Remove/Reinstall Gantry
Covers on page 523.
• If you are changing fuses on the PDU Board, remove the Column covers to access the PDU Board.
Refer to section 7 in Job Card PHY A044 - Remove/Reinstall Gantry Covers on page 523.
• If you are changing a fuse on one of the boards in the Generator, remove the Generator covers.
Refer to Job Card PHY A042 - Remove/Reinstall Generator Covers on page 513.
5-1 Ensure Capacitors on Generator Boards are Discharged
If you are changing a fuse on one of the Generator boards, ensure that the capacitors are fully dis-
charged before touching the fuses on those boards. For more information, refer to the one of the appro-
priate sections below:
• section 5-1-1, Ensure that the Generator Command Board Capacitors are Discharged on page 1111
• section 5-1-2, Ensure that the Generator Supply Command Board Capacitors are Discharged on
