4 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
- Power off the Gantry before disconnecting or working on the Digital Detector.
- The Digital Detector is cumbersome. Two people are required for installation (see section
6-2, page 782). Follow standard safety practices for handling large components.
5 PRE-REQUISITES
• The Gantry has been moved to its final position, and secured to the floor if necessary.
• All procedures likely to require movement and disturbance in the area of the Tube and Image Recep-
tor have been completed.
• Physical installation, inter-connection and AC connection of the Gantry, Generator Cabinet, and Con-
trol Station have been successfully completed.
5-1 Reception
The digital detector is delivered on a single pallet, along with the radiation screen, monitor and the
accessories. The Gantry and Generator Cabinet are delivered on another pallet. The Control Station is
delivered on another pallet. When a Senographe system arrives, check the entire consignment for dam-
age according to Job Card PRE A001 - Checking for Damage on page 371.
WARNING
Before installing the detector, you must leave it packed for at least one day so that it does
not suffer from condensation.
