Job Card CHK A003 - UPS Batteries
10. Wait until the UPS battery is fully recharged (i.e. when the 5 charge LEDs on the UPS are illu-
mintated. Once the UPS battery is fully recharged, restore the parameters using the steps below.
11. Power up the Senographe system, and login as usual. The from behind the Browser, launch a com-
mand window (see Launching a Command Line Window on page 120).
A command window appears with an ADS prompt.
12. Change to the /export/home/insite/browser directory, by entering:
cd /export/home/insite/browser
13. Connect to the UPS web-based diagnostics, by entering:
mozilla-bin http://localhost:3052
14. At the login page that appears, specify root for the username and root for the password.
15. Use the UPS web-based interface to restore the UPS paramters as follows:
a. Select the left menu Event, then Actions, and click on the Battery discharged event.
b. Under the Command file item:
- check the Enable command file execution checkbox
- select in list /opt/APC/PowerChuteBusiness/Agent/cmdfiles/batteryDischarged.sh
- enter a value of 3 seconds for Command file Execution Duration
c. Under Shutdown, check the Initiate Shutdown Sequence box.
d. Click on the Apply button.
e. Click the Insufficient Runtime Available event.
f. Under Shutdown, check Initiate Shutdown Sequence.
g. Click on the Apply button.
