2-18 JC DIAG A1112 ROTATION BRAKE DEFECT
Diagnostic for:
112/008 error code (CAN code is 0x500D) brake error
• Check the brake cable (W219) and connector (J6) visually, then check the DS 5 LED on the Rotation
Board:
- It must be not lit in stop mode
- It must be lit in rotation mode (the brake is active)
• Power off the Gantry, and disconnect cable W19 from J6 of the Rotation Board, Measure the brake
resistance on the cable connector.
- The nominal resistance value is 20 ohm +/-2 ohm. If the resistance is out of these limits, change
the brake (see Job Card D/R A229 - Rotation Brake on page 1247).
- If the measured resistance is acceptable, change the Rotation Board (Job Card D/R A221 - Rota-
tion Board on page 1223).

Diagnostic for:
112/011 error code (CAN code is 0x6004) overspeed error
• Check the encoder cable (W205) and its connection (J9) on the Rotation Board.
• If the cable is damaged, change the motor + encoder with cables (see Job Card D/R A228 - Rotation
Motor on page 1243).
• If J9 is damaged, change the Rotation Board (Job Card D/R A221 - Rotation Board on page 1223).
• If the cable is not damaged, and the connection is good, change the Rotation Board (Job Card D/R
A221 - Rotation Board on page 1223).
• If the error persists, change the rotation motor+encoder unit with cables (see Job Card D/R A228 -
Rotation Motor on page 1243).

Diagnostic for:
112/012 error code (CAN code is 0x6005) underspeed error
• Change the Rotation Board (Job Card D/R A221 - Rotation Board on page 1223).
• If the error persists, change the rotation gas spring (see Job Card D/R A230 - Rotation Gas Spring on
page 1251).
