Job Card DIAG A1000 - Gantry Diagnostic
2-29 JC DIAG A1208 COMPRESSION CONTROL FAILURE
Diagnostic for:
122/008 error code (CAN code is 0x5026) overcurrent error
• First make a visual check of the motor cabling and its connection to the Compression Board.
• Disconnect the cable W301 from connector J3.
- Check on the cable connector for a short circuit. If you find one, change the compression motor +
encoder + cables (see Job Card D/R A244 - Compression Motor with Encoder and Compression
Belt on page 1297).
- Measure the motor coil impedances. The impedances must measure 2 ohm between the blue
and pink wires, 2 ohm between the yellow and red wires. If not, change the motor + encoder +
cables(see Job Card D/R A244 - Compression Motor with Encoder and Compression Belt on
page 1297).
• If the error persists, change the Compression Board (see Job Card D/R A250 - Compression Board
on page 1323). Check the movement.
• If the error persists, change the compression motor unit (see Job Card D/R A244 - Compression
Motor with Encoder and Compression Belt on page 1297).

Diagnostic for:
122/020 error code (CAN code is 0x500D) brake error
• Check the B303 screw brake cable (W309) and brake coils by measuring the brake resistance. The
nominal resistance value is 192 ohm (+/-10 ohm). If the resistance values are out of these limits
change the brake and cables (see Job Card D/R A247 - Motorized Compression Brake on page
1309).
• Check the connector J5 on the Compression Board for damage. If damage is found, change the
Compression Board (see Job Card D/R A250 - Compression Board on page 1323).
• Check the compression brake cable (W318) and brake coils by measuring the brake resistance. The
nominal resistance value is 230 ohm (+/-10 ohm).
If the resistance is out of these limits, change the brake and cables (see Job Card D/R A246 - Manual
Compression Brake on page 1301).
• If the error persists, change the Compression Board (see Job Card D/R A250 - Compression Board
on page 1323).
