DMX Control, Start Channel and
DMX Footprint
The MMS100 control parameters are broken apart into 3 portions, the Motion Portion, The Global Portion and the
Graphic Portion. It is required to have 1 Motion Fixture patched, 1 Global Fixture patched and 1 to 9 Graphic
Fixtures patched. The DMX start channel of the MMS100 must match the start channel of the Motion fixture as patched
on a control console. Only the Motion Fixture start channel is adjustable. The Global Fixture must start directly after
Motion the Motion Fixture. The Graphic Fixture must start directly after the Global Fixture.
Example.
If the start channel is set to 1 on the MMS100. The Motion fixture will patched in a DMX universe starting at channel 1 on
the control console, the Global Portion will be patched at DMX 8, and DMX 65 for the first Layer.
The DMX footprint is the total number of required channels for the fixture. This footprint size can vary based on the
number graphic layers selected and patched.
