4.15.5 Repairing method for the recovery pump
Recovery filter 1
1 Operate the pump, MV1, and MV6 in this order on the “Solenoid Valve/Pump Test”
screen.
2 Operate the pump with the pressure adjustment screw turned completely
clockwise to obtain the maximum pressure.
3 If the ink flows into the recovery tube, the repair work is completed.
If the pump cannot be repaired by pump operation for 10 minutes, replace the pump unit.
Recovery filter 2
1 Remove tube [AA] from MV23 (Solenoid) and then connect the tube to the hand pump
which is filled with makeup.
2 Start operating Pump 2 on the screen of “Solenoid Valve/Pump Test”.
3 Apply pressure on the hand pump.
4 If makeup in the hand pump flows into Tube [5], the repair work is completed. But if
makeup in hand pump did not flow well within 10minutes, replace the pump head of
recovery pump 2.
