1.3.2 Installation procedure
Perform an installation work of the unit according to the following procedure at the unpacking.

Remove Supply port caps of both ink and makeup
reservoirs.
<NOTE> The Supply port caps are
required at IJ printer “Long–term
Shutdown”.
Be sure to recommend the customers to
keep the caps for the case of long-term
Shutdown.

<NOTE>If you want to use the makeup
in Cartridge as a cleaning solution, pour
the makeup in the cleaning bottle before
the cartridge bottle is set.

6.5 Stream alignment
<NOTE 1> When the makeup is not
ejected from the nozzle even though the
ink stream alignment is conducted, the
check valve in the makeup pump may be
drying / clogging. Refer to “4.14
Troubleshooting Procedure for the
Circulation System” and troubleshoot.
<NOTE 2> When the ink stream is not
positioned at the center of the gutter,
foreign matters may be deposited at the
ejection port of the nozzle orifice.
Refer to “6.4 How to correct ink stream
bending and nozzle clogging” in
Technical Manual and troubleshoot.
<NOTE 3> When the makeup collected
into the gutter is not recovered in the
circulation system, the check valve in the
recovery pump may be drying / clogging.
