6.5.25 Cartridge-ID read failure
Cartridge-ID read
failure
Is the distance
between cartridge
bottle and IJ printer
30mm or smaller?
Move the cartridge bottle
closer to “Scan here” of IJ
printer.
Can the
cartridge-ID be
read?
Prepare the other
cartridge bottle.
Can the
cartridge-ID be
read?
Is CN27 connector on
EZJ133 board
disconnected or having
poor connection?
Remove CN27 connector once
and reconnect it.
Restore RFID reader to the
original one and then replace
EZJ133 board. *2
[Caution]
For the cartridge-ID which cannot be
read at the first scan, there is a
possibility of breakdown of ID tag.
In this case, input the cartridge-ID
manually.
Is the connector of
RFID reader side
disconnected or having
poor connection?
Remove connector once and
reconnect it.
Turn the power OFF
and ON again and
retry reading
cartridge-ID.

Be sure to check that there is no wrong
connection of harnesses by referring to
[Connector numbers and Identifying method
of harnesses] in “3.3.20 Electrical Connection
Diagram”.
