LOADING THE PRESERVCYT SAMPLE VIAL
1. Confirm that the sample holder and slide handler are empty.
2. Remove the cap from the PreservCyt sample vial. Place vial cap with threads facing upward on
lab bench.
3. Gently tilt the PreservCyt sample vial into the sample holder until the bottom of the vial rests on
the sample holder base. Refer to Figure 5B-8. Use caution not to spill the contents of the vial. If a
spill occurs, use standard laboratory clean up procedures.
4. The vial will remain loose in the sample holder until the process begins. The instrument will
automatically grasp the vial during processing.
