5. Concentrate by centrifugation.
— 600g x 10 min.
6. Pour off supernatant and vortex to
resuspend cell pellet.
7. Evaluate cell pellet appearance. Refer to
page 1.11.
If pellet contains blood or protein, repeat
from step 4.
8. Add appropriate amount of specimen to
PreservCyt Solution vial.
Refer to page 1.12.
9. Run on ThinPrep 2000 processor using
Sequence 2, Fix, Stain, and Evaluate.
10. If the new slide is sparse, call Hologic
Technical Service.
