The following table lists some special terms that are used across this document and provides their
definitions.
Term Definition
Meter gasket It is used as an environmental seal for mounting EC350 on a
meter.
Opto-isolators Devices that prevent unwanted current flow or possible
damage from high voltage or/and from external devices
connected to the instrument.
Rivets Used to install the slides on the index.
Slide A small piece of plastic used for covering the digits on the
index.
Spline wrench. Used to loosen and tighten set screw in order to move the
Thimble gear assembly UP or clock- wise (CW) direction or
DOWN for counter clock-wise (CCW) direction.
