WAN Remote Mount Antenna
The WAN remote mount antenna can be either a magnetic mount or an adhesive mount
antenna.
The Remote Antenna Installation Kit consists of the WAN antenna and an extension
cable. The remote antenna is mounted on the top of a forklift, truck or other vehicle and
cabled to the Thor VM3 inside the vehicle.
1. Locate a mounting position on highest point on the vehicle, following these precau-
tions:
• The antenna must be mounted so the antenna is not damaged while the vehicle
or any of its parts are moving.
2. Clean the area where the antenna is to be mounted.
3. If using an adhesive mount antenna, remove the protective backing paper from the
adhesive on the antenna.
4. Position the antenna on the vehicle.
5. Attach the one end of the coaxial cable to the antenna and the other end to the
Mobile Net WWAN connector on the vehicle mounted Thor VM3.
6. Use cable ties to secure the coaxial cable to the vehicle as necessary. Make sure the
cable is routed so it is not damaged by any moving parts of the vehicle.
