Power Switch Assembly/ Ac Module Cable
Voltage Conversion Note
If you are converting from 110V to 220V or vice versa, the power cord,
power switch assembly, and ac module cable must be changed. Refer to
Chapter 5 for appropriate 110V and 220V part numbers for all parts.
WARNING
AFTER REPLACING THE
POWER SWITCH ASSEMBLY, PERFORM
CONTINUITY TEST BETWEEN POWER CORD GROUND AND
METAL
CHASSIS. RECORD RESULTS ON REPAIR ORDER.
1. UNPLUG COMPUTER POWER CORD FROM AC OUTLET.
2. Remove front and rear covers as previously described.
3. Disconnect ground cable from ac module cover (Figure 4-63).
4. Remove two #2 Pozidriv screws that attach display connector assembly to ac module cover
(Figure 4-63),
and roll connector assembly onto top of power supply.
5. Remove three
#2 Pozidriv screws that attach top cover to ac module (Figure 4-64), and
remove cover.
6. If removing power switch assembly, slide assembly up and onto top of ac module (Figure
4-67)
and disconnect all wires from the back of power switch assembly.
