6. Pull up on the side of the basket at the front of the server and tilt it up to a
45° angle (2).
7. Slide the entire basket forward and lift the basket out of the chassis (3).

8. Remove the memory board. Refer to “Installing a Processor and PPM” in this
chapter.
9. Remove the air baffle. Refer to “Installing a Processor and PPM” in this chapter.
10. Remove hot plug fans 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 from the front fan cage. Refer to
“Removing a Hot-Plug Fan” in this chapter.
11. Remove the front fan cage by disengaging the three thumbscrews (1) and lifting
the cage out of the server (2).
