Rear storage cages
NOTE: The rear SSD assembly model was used for the following procedure. Differences may be
present with other models.
Removing a rear storage cage
To remove a rear storage cage:
1. Power off the server and detach all power cords from the power supplies.
2. Remove the rear SSD assembly (on page 29).
3. Remove the access panel (on page 31).
4. Remove the air fence (on page 50)
5. Remove the internal fan module (on page 56).
6. Remove the screws securing the cables to the rear storage cage and remove the cables.
7. Remove the screws securing the rear storage cage to the chassis.
8. Slide to remove the rear storage cage.
