7. Quilt Menu
The funcons on the quilt menu enable you to quilt your designs. The Run buon is available to start the
stching from any quilt funcon.
• Aer the design has been formaed, posioned, and is ready to be stched, select Quilt and then Run.
If everything looks good, press Proceed to begin stching. Otherwise, press Cancel.
If you selected the opon to Verify Sengs before Quilng in the quilt sengs, a pop-up Verify Sengs
box appears so you can double check the sengs before stching. For more informaon about turning on
or o this opon, see To verify sengs before quilng in chapter 8, Sengs Menu.
To choose between stching or tracing the design, bounding box, or area perimeter
Make sure the Stch buon is enabled (shown in a darker color) for the machine to stch the quilt
according to the selecons you make. To disable stching, press the darkened Stch buon. If the
Stch buon is disabled, Pro-Stcher traces the design, bounding box, or area perimeter with the
machine but does not stch. Select the Stch buon again to enable stching.
To immediately stop the machine from quilng
If you must immediately stop the machine while quilng, press Emergency Stop. Unlike Pause,
which brings the machine to a gentle stop, the Emergency Stop buon immediately stops Pro-
Stcher. To reduce the risk of a torn quilt in case the needle is stuck, Pro-Stcher also disables the
motors.
Before you stch the design on the quilt
Before stching any design, its a good idea to double check the posion of the design relave to the quilt.
Machine Quilting Tip: Verify the position of the design relative to the quilt
Move the quilng machine needle to a locaon on the quilt. Select the Follow buon in the
top-right corner of the screen so the design will move as you move the machine. Look at the
screen and conrm that the crosshairs match the desired posion in the design. Do this for
a variety of places on the quilt, such as the start and end points and the highest and lowest
points in the design.
Brings the quilng
machine to an
immediate stop and
disables motors.
