Battery Backup Unit replacement procedure
Because the Battery Backup Unit (BBU) replacement leads to a redundancy loss until the
replacement is complete, we advise that you replace the BBU only when you are instructed to
replace it. We advise you to follow the Directed Maintenance Procedure (DMP).
Note: The memory modules do not stand up. They lie in a cascading fashion.
Attention: The battery is a lithium ion battery. To avoid a possible explosion, do not
incinerate the battery. Exchange the battery only with the part that is approved by IBM.
