Step 4: Remove the thermal pad off the memory module.
Step 5: Remove the DDR2 memory module by pulling both the spring retainer clips
outward from the socket.
Step 6: Grasp the DDR2 memory module by the edges and carefully pull it out of the
socket.
Step 7: Install the new DDR2 memory module by pushing it into the socket at an angle
(
Figure 4-6).
Step 8: Gently pull the spring retainer clips of the SO-DIMM socket out and push the
rear of the DDR2 memory module down (
Figure 4-6).
Step 9: Release the spring retainer clips on the SO-DIMM socket. They clip into place
and secure the DDR2 memory module in the socket.
