8.1 Establishing a Cam Table
The slave axis is driven by the master axis. The relationship between master and slave axes can be indicated by
cam table data or electronic gear ratio. You can use cam table data to establish a maximum of 360 key points. The
electronic gear ratio of master to slave axis is xed.
If electronic gears are used, you only need to set the numerator and denominator without setting the cam table. If
electronic cams are used, you need to set the electronic cam table rst.
8.1.1 Creating a Cam Table
On the
Project Manager
page of AutoShop, right-click
CAM
and select
New
to create a cam table. You can
set a maximum of 16 cam tables by using AutoShop. Three cam tables can be downloaded to the PLC, and
the others are saved only in project les.
Cam tables downloaded to the PLC can be identied by IDs. Right-click the icon of a created cam table and
select
Property
to display or set the ID. IDs 1, 2, and 3 correspond to cam tables 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
These cam tables can be downloaded to the PLC. IDs of the others are -1. You can change IDs in the cam
property dialog box.
