Aer moving the router to its new locaon, install the components in the chassis or store the
components in anstac bags.

Manually Remove an MX10004 Router from a Four-Post Rack
Before you manually remove a Juniper Networks MX10004 router from a rack:
• Ensure that the rack is stable and secured to the building.
• Ensure that there is enough space to place the removed router in its new locaon and that the path
to the new locaon is clear. "MX10004 Clearance Requirements for Airow and Hardware
Maintenance" on page 87.
• Review "General Safety Guidelines and Warnings" on page 239.
• Review the chassis liing guidelines described in "Chassis and Component Liing Guidelines" on
page 247.
• Ensure that the router is safely powered o (see "Power O an MX10004 Router" on page 212).
