CHECKING THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE
INDEPENDENT FUEL TANK
OF PRE-STARTING HEATER
The pre-starting heater is equipped with an inde-
pendent fuel tank which is mounted behind the cab on
the right side of a vehicle.
Observe the fuel level in a tank as independent
tank is not included into engine fuel system. Average
tank filling interval (with heater constant work) is appr.
8 hours.
Use fuel in accord with suggestions of Appen-
dix 3.
In summer, we suggest to drain fuel from inde-
pendent fuel tank. After fuel is drained and the hose is
placed back, the heater should work until all fuel burns.
Fuel is drained as follows:
1. Close the fuel cock 4.
2. Slacken the clip of hose 5.
3. Remove hose 3 with polyamide pipe 6.
4. Direct the hose into drain vessel, open the cock.
To eliminate air from the system, perform at
least 4 heater starting cycles.
Season maintenance of pre-starting is in accord
with Operation manual for pre-starting heater (see Ap-
pendix «Diesel pre-starting heater» or «Small-sized liq-
uid engine pre-heater PRAMOTRONIC-16ЖД24»).
