4.2.1 Oil drain

(tightening torque: 60 Nm)
CAUTION
Oil must not be allowed to enter the soil, ground water, or
sewage system. Collect overflowing oil in a suitable
container and dispose of in accordance with environmental
guidelines.
NOTE
Generally: Change oil after a longer journey while the
transmission oil is still at operating temperature and of low
viscosity.
DANGER
Touching the hot transmission and transmission fluid
may result in burns!
Unscrew oil drain plugs on the transmission
(Fig. 10, pos. 1 and 2) and collect the old oil in a suitable
container and dispose it in an environmentally friendly way.
Clean oil drain plugs (1), replace sealing ring, and tighten it
to 60 Nm.
Clean oil drain plug and magnetic plug (2), replace sealing
ring, and tighten to 60 Nm.
