3.5.1 ZF Braking Step Lever (Standard)
BREMSOMAT = constant speed during downhill travel
Set and maintain the velocity:
Engagement of step B = Bremsomat activated.
The current traveling speed is now saved to the electronics
and maintained during downhill travel.
During Bremsomat operation, the required brake torque is
automatically set in a continuously variable manner.
Check display continuously lit:
- if the Intarder is active.
The Bremsomat function is only working in step B.
NOTE
If the braking step lever is set back into position B after
engaging constant braking step operation and the
automatic speed control becomes effective with the
current speed.
Deleting the Bremsomat function:
Set the braking step lever either
- to position 0 or
- to position 1 - 5 (= constant braking step operation).
- in position B and accelerator pedal actuated
(as soon as the accelerator pedal is no longer actuated,
renewed Bremsomat activation with new current
speed).
Check display OFF:
- in position 0;
- always if the Intarder is not active.
