3.6.1 ZF Braking Step Lever (Bremsomatic)
BREMSOMATIC = constant speed during downhill travel
Set and maintain the velocity:
Engagement of step B = Bremsomatic activated.
The current travel speed is now saved to the electronics
and maintained during downhill travel.
During Bremsomatic operation, the required brake torque
is set automatically in a continuously variable manner.
The Bremsomatic function is only working in step B.
NOTE
If the braking step lever is, after engagement of the
constant braking step operation, set back into position B,
then the automatic speed control becomes effective with
the current speed.
Deleting the Bremsomatic function:
Set braking step lever either
- to position 0 or
- to position 1-4 (= constant braking step operation).
Change the velocity and save the new value:
Change the speed by actuating
- the accelerator pedal, or
- the brake pedal, or
- the engine brake,
and the new speed will be automatically saved.
