2.1 Setup
The ZF-New Ecosplit transmission consists of a 4-speed
section, a range change and a splitter group.
2.2 Version
4-speed section:
• Synchronized, reverse gear with constant-mesh
• Mechanical operation (turning-shaft shift control)
• Superimposed H shift pattern or double H shift pattern
• Servoshift
Range change group, downstream:
• Synchronized
• Changeover via preselection switch at the shift lever with
superimposed H shift pattern (Fig. 1)
• Automatic changeover when switching between shift gates
3/4 and 5/6 with double H shift pattern (Fig. 1a)
Splitter group, upstream:
• Synchronized
• Changeover via preselection switch of splitter group at the
shift lever (Fig. 2 and 2a) and completely depressing the
clutch pedal.
