4.6 Oil Filter Replacement
NOTE: Use new oil filter upon each individual oil change (order no. see table on pages 45 and 46).
DANGER: When transmission oil is hot: Danger of burns!

(CAUTION: There is residual oil left in the
oiI filter housing!)
Check O-ring (8) on filter cover for damage
and replace and grease if necessary.
Grease the O-ring (7) of the new filter.
Mount cover (3) with screws (10).
For tightening torques refer to table on pages 45 and 46.

Remove cover (3) with
plugged-on filter.
Remove oil filter from filter
cover.
Unscrew plug(s) (10) from oil filter housing cover (3).
Remove cover (3) and pull out
filter from filter’s housing.
Safely secure magnet (5) to the new filter.
Insert new filter (6) in filter
housing.
Plug the oil filter housing
cover (3) onto the new filter
(6). Insert the complete unit
until full home with the filter
housing.
