2.3 Shift actuation
Range change group, superimposed H shift pattern
The shift system is divided into 3 parallel shift gates. Shift
gates 3/4 and 7/8 have a spring-mounted neutral position.
Pneumatically changing the range change group from shift
gate 3/4 to shift gate 5/6 and back is done via a preselection
switch at the shift lever (Fig. 2).

Range change group of double H shift pattern
The shift system is divided into 5 parallel shift gates. Shift
gates 3/4 and 5/6 have each a spring-mounted neutral
position. Spring locking mechanisms with different strengths
enable a good orientation in the transmission shift pattern.
When changing from shift gate 3/4 to shift gate 5/6 and back,
the range change group is changed automatically via the
pneumatic changeover.
