3.8 Limp home operation
Trouble when changing range change group (e.g. from shift
gate 3/4 to 5/6 or vice versa) can be caused by the following:
Line damage in pneumatic system.
Shift valve (1) or shift cylinder (2) for the range change group
is defective (condensate or contamination).
NOTE
Continuation of journey is only possible when the low range
change group (1st - 4th gear) is selected.
The vehicle must be towed if the high range change group
remains engaged.
3.8.1 Servoshift
When the Servoshift fails, it is still possible to shift the trans-
mission by applying a considerably higher manual force.
