4.5 Transmission maintenance for versions with
clutch-dependent PTOs
The clutch-dependent PTOs do not influence the oil filling and
oil level check of the manual transmission. Depending on the
PTO, the required oil quantity increases by up to 0.5 dm

.
4.6 Checking the clutch
To guarantee the function and service life of the synchronizers,
it is absolutely required that the clutch separates completely.
This is also true for the clutch-dependent PTOs.
The correct separation of the clutch is checked as follows:
Engine at operating temperature in idle position.
Fully depress clutch pedal.
Engage the R gear slowly after maximum 20 seconds*.
If “grating” of the meshing gears occurs (brushing noise of
override clutch), resetting or checking the clutch is required.
