Auxiliary brake system control by means of the switch
With the switch in position «В» the mode of
downhill operation constant speed is engaged, it doesn't
allow the vehicle to pick up speed.
Vehicles without retarder have two brake steps 1
and 2.
Auxiliary braking by retarder brake is executed
when the switch is sequentially shifted to positions 3-5.
Braking torque executed by auxiliary brake system
stepwise increase from 1 to 5 lever position.
If necessary, an additional braking is possible by
means of service brake system pedal.
In non-depressed position of the switch the auxil-
iary brake system is controlled by function «Brake-
Management».
Attention!
If pilot lamps and light up on the in-
strument panel along with indication of the brake sys-
tem circuit on the display, and if audible signal sounds,
it means that failure occurred in brake system (see Sec-
tion 7 «Potential failures of vehicle units and systems.
