TRANSMISSION OILS
Attention! For ZF gearboxes, use oils approved
by ZF, strictly. The complete information on oils (list,
usage conditions and change intervals) for ZF units may
be found in any ZF service center and on site
www.zf.com. The site information is updated every 3
months. Each further revision substitutes all previous
ones.
For gearboxesZF 16S2220TD and ZF
16S2221TD use oils of class: 02Е, 02Н, 02L.
For ZF gearbox 12АS2130TDand ZF
12АS2131TD oils of the following classes are recom-
mended for service priming: 02Е, 02L.
For gearboxesZF 16S1820ТО use oils of class:
02В, 02Е, 02Н, 02L.
Attention! If the service priming at gearbox plant
is carried out with oil grade 02E, the oil change is not
permitted during the first two operation years. It is al-
lowed to top up the oil level only with lubricant class 02E
during this period. If the vehicle mileage during this pe-
riod exceeds the limit values for operation according to
the list of lubricants TE-ML 02, it is neccessary to
change the oil.
Attention! Note - it is allowed to mix different
lubricant classes only within one class in the list of lubri-
cants TE-ML 02.
For Daimler HL6 hypoid gear axles use motor oils
given in Specification sheet No.235.8 of No.228.5 «of
«Mercedes-Benz» Specifications for Service Products»
(Specification sheet No. 235.8 - MG gear oils on a syn-
thetic basis). Oil change interval in Daimler axles is spec-
ified in service book.
OILS FOR STEERING SYSTEM
For steering systems with ZF pump and (or) steer-
ing gear use liquids for automatic transmissions (ATF).
Recommendations on use and permitted types of
liquid are given on the site:
http://www.bosch-automotive-steering.com
It is recommended to use mineral-based ATF liq-
uids without specific grades pointed, that correspond to
requirements Dextron II D, III F, III G, III H, VI of Gen-
eral Motors specifications.
Attention! Note: Mixing oils of different grades
is not permitted!
