Troubleshooting
If your Mapping setup is not behaving as expected:
— Verify setup is correct by referring to “How to Set Up Mapping Settings” on
page 390.
— Attenuator set to 0 dB
— Preamplifier set to ON
—Correct Band, Channel, and Center Frequency entered
— GNSS set to Internal
—Frequency Ref set to GPS
— ADC errors: Use Scale/Amptd
> Range to adjust the absolute power
level (dBm).
For some data views, you need to press More
to view the Range
softkey.
— No data displayed: Press Meas Setup 4
then
——Verify the correct Antenna Settings
have been entered.
— The FieldFox’s displayed annotation indicates "Check LAN
connection. Check IP address." during pinging.
Verify:
——The LAN address for first 3 fields matches the Static IP address
of FieldFox. For example, if the Ball Antenna IP address is
192.168.1.10, set FieldFox Static IP address to 192.168.1.xx.
“xx” must be different number than shown in the last field of
the for Ball Antenna. Refer to Figure 14 on page 350.
— If the cmd.exe window displays a "This port was picked because
5000 is in use." error, then:
a. Type Ctrl + c in the command window
b. Press Enter
c. The command window should display text "Teminate batch job?
(Y/N)":
Type Y and then press Enter
The command window should display message confirming the
termination of the batch job and close.
