Chapter 11: Operator Functions LB 9507
11-8
11.2 Performance test
The <PERF. CHECK> function provides a quality test of the
instrument and reagents. A few samples with isolated, known
label concentration must be ready, and their values must be
known. The instrument accepts 1 - 10 replicates from each
category (chem. background effect - e.g. empty tube; low label
concentration for a low check; high label concentration for a high
check). The measuring time for this series must be specifically
entered here, e.g. 3 seconds, depending on the type of chemical
system used.
For the performance test, the parameters must be entered as they
would in the protocol for raw data measurement (see R6 to R18,
except R17). At the end of parameter input, the following prompt
appears:
INPUT ALL CORRECT ? YES
YES NO LAST DISPLAY
After selecting <YES> and the wash cycle sequence, the system
test procedure begins with the following prompts on the display:
CHEM BACKGROUND TUBE # 1
INSERT TUBE...
CHEM BACKGROUND TUBE # 1
START
LOW CHECK REPL # 1 TUBE # 2
INSERT TUBE...
LOW CHECK REPL # 1 TUBE # 2
START
The instrument expects the samples in the following order:
background, low concentration, high concentration, and up to 10
replicates can be used for background and the concentrations.
The RLU values with mean value and coefficient of variation are
printed. Finally, two terms appear which have the following
meanings:
