R12
06: AUTOMATIC BKG SUBTRACTION NO
YES NO LAST DISPLAY
Here you can select whether the background effect is to be
subtracted automatically from the measured results.
Remember that the statistical significance of the measured values
is dependent upon the measuring time.
R13
06: MAX. BACKGROUND [RLU/s] 50
(0 = NONE) LAST DISPLAY
Here can you define the limit value for the background. If this
threshold is exceeded, you will be alerted accordingly on the
display and the printout. Entering “
0” means “no background
threshold“.
As soon as you confirm the entry with <
enter> you move to the
next display.
Repeated background measurements
Background measurement will be repeated till the measured RLU
value is lower than the defined maximum background value.
Measurement will be repeated up to 20 times. These
measurement cycles are used to reduce phosphorescence of
tubes and sample before starting the injection of reagents.
If the measured background values are higher (for 20
measurement cycles) than the defined maximum background
value, no injection of reagents will be performed. If the measured
background values are lower than the defined maximum
background value, injection of reagents will be started.
Maximum background value
The <RATEMETER> function can be used for studying the
kinetics of the background signal. This information can be used to
define the background limits.
