[2] DESCRIPTIONS OF MOMENT LIMITER DISPLAY UNIT
For LEDs not described in this section, see “Operation 2.4.4 Names of moment limiter display unit”.
1. ACTUAL LOAD DISPLAY SECTION
This section constantly displays the actual load of the hoisted load
during the crane operation.
The actual load indicates the total weight of the hoisted load and
lifting accessories increasing the hook weight. If “0.0” to “0.1” is
displayed when nothing is being hoisted, the system is normal. If
the value displayed is out of this range, contact us or our sales
service agency.
• Due to the mechanism of the load detector, the actual load
value changes in the display during boom derricking operation.
When the boom is raised, the actual load value moves to
higher, however this does not mean a device failure.
• Even when the hoisting operation is in a pause, the swinging
load makes changes in the actual load value display.
2. RATED LOAD DISPLAY SECTION
The rated total load (i.e. hook block + sling instruments + hoisted
load) applicable to the current configuration is computed based on
the condition including number of wire falls or working radius, and
is displayed.
3. WORKING RADIUS DISPLAY SECTION
This section constantly displays the current working radius during
the crane operation.
Current working radius is the distance between the center of the
crane rotation and axis of the hook. Effect of bending of the boom
is not computed.
4. RATED RADIUS DISPLAY SECTION
This section constantly displays the rated working radius during
the crane operation.
Rated working radius is the maximum working radius computed
based on the boom length and actual load.
5. BOOM LENGTH DISPLAY SECTION
This section constantly displays the current boom length during the
crane operation.
The boom length is the distance from the boom foot pin to the
sheave pin at the end of the boom.
