Always avoid standing on crawlers or blade for installation work. You may miss your footing
and fall resulting in serious injury. For elevated work, always prepare a strongly-built work
platform.
Slew the upper strucure 90 degrees so that it comes
perpendicular to crawlers.
Otherwise if the upper structure is not 90 degrees slewed,
crawlers or blade may disturb the required operations.
1. Pull the linchpin (25) out from the position pin (15) in the Fly-jib
bracket B (22) to pull out the position pin (15).
• The removed position pin (15) will be required for the later
operation of installing the Fly-jib to the right side of the Main
boom tip.
• The removed linchpin (25) of the position pin (15) shall be firmly
inserted in the hole for storage in the stowage bracket B (22).
When inserted, ensure the ring to be turned to lock it.
2. Slide the No.1 Fly-jib (2) forward through the position pin (16) in
the Fly-jib bracket A (21) as a point of support, then fit the
connection hole of the No.1 Fly-jib (2) to the hole (A) of the
bracket (26) in the right side of the Main boom tip.
When the connection hole of the No.1 Fly-jib (2) and the hole (A)
of the bracket (26) in the right side of the Main boom tip do not fit
correctly, slowly telescope the Main boom to allow a correct fit.
When you find it difficult to insert the position pin (15), insert the
attached bar (24) from the lower side of the hole (B) in the No.1
Fly-jib (2) to rock to left and right, or to front and back, so that the
pin is inserted.
The attached bar (24) is stowed to the right of the winch drum in
the upper structure.
