Removing the ink bottle lid.
• If the mouth of the bottle is fitted with a seal, cut this open using a craft knife. Be careful
not to drop the seal into the bottle.

Attach the special cap to the ink bottle.
(1) Place the special cap on the bottle.
(2) Use the tightening tool to tighten the special cap in place.

(3) Turn the bottle upside-down to check that no ink leaks occur.
• Do not overtighten the special cap. Disregarding this precaution may result in damage.
• Do not leave ink bottles with special caps fitted for extended periods. Doing so may result
in ink hardening.
