3. If the MVP Control Panel does respond properly, then the problem is in one or more of the
Chains. After reconnecting all the Dual Chain Modules to the MVP Control Module, connect
one Chain at a time to its Dual Chain Module, power up the System and make several
component selections on each Chain. When the malfunctioning Chain is connected the
problem should appear.
Check to see that the LED indicator lights (located on the upper left-hand corner of each
Switching Module) on each Switching Module in the Chain light up when a position that
should activate that Module is selected. Now disconnect all the Switching Modules in that
Chain and add them back in, one at a time, to determine which Switching Module is
malfunctioning. (If you find a malfunctioning Switching Module, you may bypass that one
and get your System back up while you are solving the problem.)
NOTE: Logic troubleshooting does not require an audio output, so it is possible to determine that your
System is switching correctly and still have partial or no audio output.
REMEMBER: Always unplug the MVP Control Panel from the AC outlet when connecting or
disconnecting Switching Modules. Re-enter Lockout code each time power is reconnected.
Below are some of the most commonly reported problems, the potential cause and suggested solution.
When more than one cause or solution is listed for a problem, try the first one first.
