4. Check the position of the switch in the battery compartment:
Switch -> Base of battery compartment: Use rechargeable batteries
Switch -> Top of battery compartment: Use dry cells

5. Place the new batteries into the compartment in such a way that the cloth
tape is pulled back into the instrument.
6. Replace and close the battery compartment lid.
The instrument is once more ready for use.
To remove batteries:
Pull tape
Correct switch positions
Rechargeable batteries
Alkaline batteries
