8.1.2 Entering the alarm threshold
The CONFG ALARM sub-menu is activated.
You have determined the intended alarm threshold value.
Note: The threshold must always lie within the selected measurement
range, otherwise the alarm cannot be triggered.
Entering the threshold value
There are three threshold values that can be entered:
FIELD TRSH: Threshold for field strength.
This entry field is provided for B-field and E-field measurements.
EXPOS TRSH: Threshold for Exposure STD.
This entry field is common to both B-field and E-field measurements.
1. Use the UP/DOWN keys to select the required function.
2. To activate the entry fields, press the ENTER key.
The first entry field is highlighted in black.
3. Use the UP/DOWN keys to define a value.
4. Use the NEXT key to move to the next entry field.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remaining entry fields and the units field.
6. Press ENTER to complete entry.
The alarm threshold has been selected.
Note: The following ranges of values are available for the alarm
threshold: 10
nT to 31.6 mT, 100 µG to 316 G,
0.1 V/m to 100 kV/m, 0.1 % to 100 %
8.1.3 Activating alarm signals
The alarm signals must be activated in order to trigger a visible or audible
alarm. There are two alarm signals.
Visible alarm signal: The red Alarm LED on the front panel flashes.
Audible alarm signal: A continuous tone sounds in addition to the visible
alarm signal.
The CONFG/ALARM sub-menu is activated.
The intended alarm threshold value has been entered.
