When you use the EFA-TS PC software to remote control the EFA:
EFA-TS queries the parameters to be used to set up the link between the
PC and the EFA.
If you select a baud rate of 19200, two attempts will be needed to set up the
link.
If you select a baud rate of 9600, the link will be set up at the first attempt.
Switching the EFA to remote operation
✓ The parameters for the EFA and PC are matched.
⇒ Enter the command REMOTE [<ws>]<LF>.
The following message appears:
REMOTE <ws><instrument type><ws>OK<CR><LF>
• The Basic Unit will be set to the Measure menu of the selected
operating mode.
• Operation using the Basic Unit keyboard is now disabled.
Exiting from remote operation
⇒ Enter the command LOCAL[<ws>]<LF>.
The following message appears: LOCAL<ws>OK<CR><LF>
• Operation using the Basic Unit keyboard is now enabled.
• The baud rate is set to 9600.
