When you use the EFA-TS PC software to remote control the EFA:
EFA-TS queries the parameters to be used to set up the link between the
PC and the EFA.
If you select a baud rate of 19200, two attempts will be needed to set up the
link.
If you select a baud rate of 9600, the link will be set up at the first attempt.
Switching the EFA to remote operation
The parameters for the EFA and PC are matched.
Enter the command REMOTE [<ws>]<LF>.
The following message appears:
REMOTE <ws><instrument type><ws>OK<CR><LF>
The Basic Unit will be set to the Measure menu of the selected
operating mode.
Operation using the Basic Unit keyboard is now disabled.
Exiting from remote operation
Enter the command LOCAL[<ws>]<LF>.
The following message appears: LOCAL<ws>OK<CR><LF>
Operation using the Basic Unit keyboard is now enabled.
The baud rate is set to 9600.
